The Crossfire Managed Service

Our fully managed service makes supply chain integration quicker, cheaper, and easier for the companies we work with. We look after everything from the setup and configuration of new APIs or EDI to the ongoing monitoring and issue resolution, as well as the hosting, backups, and security. If you require custom logic, advice around how to get the most out of an integration, Crossfire are experts at providing solutions to help you streamline your supply chain.

Crossfire’s adaptability and scalability will allow you to maintain focus on your core competencies, while we modernise your supply chain through consolidating systems and streamlining processes.

How it works

  1. Crossfire receives interchanges (files) from you or your partner, these might be picked up via SFTP, received through an API, or over a VAN.
  2. An interchange may contain one or many EDI messages being exchanged, which can be facilitated via API calls. Each message is validated by the Crossfire system to make sure it’s in the correct format and data matches up on both yours and your trading partner's side.
  3. Each message is mapped/translated to the whichever format is required. This could be another internal systems format or a trading partner.
  4. Similar to the pick-up/receive process, Crossfire can either send interchanges to the other system via SFTP, Email, API, VAN or any other means.

Integration options

Systems can be integrated through APIs, using EDI, or through other methods.

Crossfire helps you connect with trading partners or with internal systems to eliminate data roadblocks and automate workflows, creating ecosystems, new and old systems work together with purpose.

We integrate with any system across a range of industries, including Supply Chain and Retail. We help provide non-EDI integration solutions as well, such as PDF to XML conversions.

API Integration

API Integration

APIs are used to connect systems with other external or internal systems. Essentially, they allow access with certain restrictions to a system enabling information to be pushed and/or pulled from the system. Establishing APIs throughout different systems within a supply chain allows effective system integration.

EDI Integration

EDI Integration

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) has been used for over 40 years and therefore is a well-established method of system integration.

EDI relies on message standards that outline the structure of the data messages being exchanged, different message standards are used for each type of business transaction. Message standards replace traditional paper documents such as Purchase Orders, Invoices or movements in transport/warehousing.
